The significance of this course is that it will clarify the perception of Al-Islam's core values, ideals and principles related to personal development and facilitate the Muslim's ability to effectively live them out in contemporary society and grow as a human being. The approach that the course takes is to bridge the gap between the state of the common understanding held by Muslims about personal development and the rich, largely untapped, resources for personal development in the Holy Qur'an, the Life of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), the insights of Imam W. D. Mohammed and contemporary discoveries in social science.
